Energy Balls

New video! Watch as I make this recipe in my own kitchen.

It’s 3 o’clock and you are craving a snack.  Lunch was a couple hours ago and your stomach can’t wait until dinner.  Plus, you’re not craving dinner,  you’re craving something sweet and salty.  A treat that will satisfy your stomach and your taste buds.

That is my life every. single. day.

Problem is: I’ll grab a handful of nuts and still be craving more so I linger around the newstands to find a chocolate bar or a bag of chips. I devour in seconds like a woman of fury only to feel crummy after and regretful of my decisions.

Well…not anymore.

Part of my grab n’ go recipes include this delicious Energy Ball.  It’s full of healthy goodies and keeps you full for a light bite. It’s packed full of protein, takes 10 minutes to make a batch and can be used with any of your favorite nut butters, dried fruits, nuts, chocolate or seeds.

I love these little balls because they are small but pack a punch. They have tons of delicious flavor and a hint of salt to satisfy any craving.

I store these in the fridge and grab when I need them. Sometimes it’s a light breakfast bite and other times I will eat as a snack in between meals or before I workout.   The only problem is not eating more than one.

Check them out!

Directions

In a food processor, add all ingredients except salt. Pulse until mixture starts to combine. If the ingredients are not coming together, add more dates or peanut butter until the mixture starts to stick together.  Remove combined mixture from processor and roll golf ball size balls. Sprinkle balls with sea salt and place in ziplock bags.  Refrigerate and consume as desired.

Enjoy!
